We love our
young adults.

At Rehema Home, our vision is to bring up children and young adults who will be socially adjusted with high morals and integrity to become leaders and good examples to their fellow Kenyans.

When it is time for our young adults to leave Rehema Home, we want them to feel confident in their ability to make good choices for their lives and to take good care of themselves.

Providing youth the best opportunity to transition to a decent job calls for investing in education and training of the highest possible quality…so that all aspiring youth can attend productive employment regardless of their gender, income level, or socio-economic background.
United Nations

For our young adults to truly be independent and self-sufficient, they must be able to secure productive employment and decent work. In Kenya, and many other places in the world, this can be incredibly difficult. With 59.16% of the population under the age of 25, there are simply more young adults entering the workforce than there are jobs available.

An accredited certification, diploma, or degree is an affordable way (averaging $1,000 - $3,000 per student per year) to dramatically increase our young adults' chances of being hired—especially in Kenya’s competitive job market.

At Rehema Home, we want every young adult to have the opportunity to complete a higher education program that will make them more marketable in the workforce. That is why we’ve created the Higher Education Fund.

become a young professional

At Rehema Home Nairobi, we have several young adults who are pursuing higher education. Each student is unique—with different strengths, interests, and personal goals. You can invest directly into a young adult’s higher education. Click on a photo to get started!

+ Cost

Like most things in Kenya, higher education is a cash in hand system. Scholarships, student loans, or grants are extremely difficult to obtain. The range of tuition is anywhere from $1,000 - $3,000 per student per year. In addition, there are exam fees and program specific supplies (tools of the trade).

+ Majors

  • Actuary Science
  • Business Management
  • Cosmetology
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Information Technology
  • Journalism
  • Mechanics
  • Tailoring

+ Length

Higher education programs last anywhere from seven months to four years depending on the level of study. A certificate course may take less than a year to complete, whereas a degree program may take up to four years to complete. Most higher education programs include "attachments" or internships immediately following the completion of course work.
